UPCOMING CPD session!

**ONLINE CPD EVENT**
Tuesday 21st October, 7:30 – 9pm.
Introduction to using the Sounds of Intent Framework
Note Weavers Assistant Director Alison Turpin invites you to join our next online CPD session, discovering Sounds of Intent, a model of musical development that maps how we engage with music.
This session is ideal for practitioners new to Sounds of Intent or those beginning to deepen their understanding of the framework, with opportunities to learn, reflect and discuss its use in practice.
Drawing on her recent experience as a graduate of the PGCert in Music and Children with Special Needs: Sounds of Intent, Alison will provide an overview of the framework, focusing on music making with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and children in the Early Years.
This session will:
Provide an understanding of the Sounds of Intent framework and how it can be used to assess and aid children’s progress in musical development
Include time for questions and discussion relating to your own practice
Signpost useful resources and opportunities for your to further explore Sounds of Intent
Tickets cost £5. This session will be recorded. If you cannot attend in person, but would like to receive the recording, please purchase a ‘Recording Only’ ticket.

‘More Music’ in the Early Years

At this online event – More Music musicians Anni Tracy and Ben McCabe share their approaches and experiences in delivering Early Years music projects.

Immersive play, outdoor improvisation, interactive performance are integral to the three strands of work they have developed in recent years:’Magic Islands of Music’, ‘Walking Down the Street Gamelan’ and ‘Raven Tales’

Songs for September 2024

Join Sorrel on Tuesday 17th September 7pm-8pm  for our ‘Songs for September’ session.  We will be sharing songs and musical activities suitable for use in family community groups, Early Years settings and classrooms as well as for around the house with little ones. Connecting Threads!

Following their appearance at the AMP/Note Weavers conference on 1st March, Alison Turpin and Claire Thompson will be hosting a FREE hour long discussion event on Wednesday 24th April 7pm-8pm. At this session you are invited to share how you have worked to make your work more inclusive and accessible, challenges you have overcome and your greatest successes. New Musical Storyland CPD Session

We are holding a ‘Song Share’ style event on Monday 18th March 7pm-8pm where we sing and play the programme resources for Ananse and the Monkeys, Little Fir Tree and Jack and the Beanstalk and invite you to sing along with us! We will also be sharing extra activities for you to do in your home or setting. Please note this event will NOT be recorded. ONLY £5! Click HERE for tickets

Musical Storyland CPD

**BOOKING IS NOW OPEN*** for our online Musical Storyland CPD Event on Monday 29th January 7pm-8.30pm!
In this session Sally-Anne Brown and Vic Holmes, who co-wrote the resources for Musical Storyland, will look at two of the programmes in the current series – ‘The Great Race’, in time for Lunar New Year, and also Three Billy Goats Gruff. They will demonstrate how to use the teaching resources, show how to chart progression and share extra musical learning activities. There will also be the opportunity for discussion at the end of the session.
This Zoom event costs just £5 and is suitable for teachers, childminders and EY practitioners as well as parents who may want to use the resources at home.  The CPD element will be recorded so that if you can’t make the event in person you can still receive the video afterwards to watch later.  **Please note that the discussion/Q&A section will not be recorded**
